Healthy Snack Ideas

I hope everyone's first day went well.  I stayed on track with eating, but didn't get to the gym like I wanted.  Today is a new day!!  

I was packing up some food for work today and wanted to share some of the snacks that I've been taking with me.  Please respond in the comments with your own snack ideas!  I'd love to expand my usual snack options.

- 1/4 cup of almonds
- Piece of fruit (usually apple or banana)
- Packet of instant oatmeal
- Whole Wheat English Muffin w/2 tbls of peanut butter
- Chocolate Mint Zone Bar (I probably should remove this one, but it really helps with candy cravings)
- Chobani Yogurt
- Chocolate Chocolate Chip VitaTops (This is something Chris turned me on to...90 calories, sugar free and it's basically a chocolatey muffin top you put in the toaster oven. You can find it in the organic frozen food section)

So what do you bring for snacks, ladies??

  1. Vita tops! Ah love them and I used to eat them every morning but I stopped. Um, chobani also does these little "bites" that I've started stocking up on. And they do combo tastes too, like chocolate raspberry and mocha chip. I also do string cheese, mini calorie microwave bags of popcorn (because I have a mini addiction to it...) For chips, I do the Special K Popcorn chips (30 of them are like 120 calories!) I'm also a huge fan of carrot/celery sticks.

  2. I'm snacking on M&M's as I am typing this so I'm probably not the best person to ask!

    My usual snacks are:
    *Fruit (I have been buying the cut up fruit trays as it is easy to just put some in a tupperware
    *Yogurt (just starting to have greek yogurt again as it is easy)
    *Almond
    *Spinach Pies
    *Apple and peanut butter with cinnamon

    Those are the staples!
